Over the past seven months, the hospital team have worked closely with Cocoon Group Services to help transition a young person to their care. I would rate the commitment and professionalism shown by Cocoon Group Services as good. I feel we have been able to keep the young person at the heart of the decisions we have made. I remain impressed with the service and their commitment to working with vulnerable young people. The manager is in constant contact, reports are always on time, and concerns are flagged immediately. The manager takes initiative with matters when I am unavailable or on leave which helps me to feel confident the young person is receiving the best wrap around care. CGS has invested a lot of time in making the transition easier for the young person, she is very empathetic, patient, and transparent.  Social Worker.

The staff had responded well to my young persons’ needs. They have promoted his health, by attending health appointments. The staff referred him to CAMHS to make sure his mental health needs were met. The staff also attended, PEP and college meetings to support my young person’s education. My young person also engaged in keywork sessions to acquire and develop independent living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting and financial management.
